The good news is, there are several things you can do to reduce the risk of slips, trips and falls on stairs – and fitting stair nosing across each step entirely, or at least the edge, is just one of them.

Stair nosings boast anti-slip properties and extend the width of the step slightly. This makes your flight of stairs less slippery and safer to use for everyone, but particularly children and elderly people who have reduced mobility.

Given that the stairs are used frequently every day, and the tread is subject to heavy foot traffic, it’s this part that tends to wear out first. However, stair nosings can prevent the problem of worn stairs and prolong the longevity of both the tread and your gorgeous floor covering.

Our stair nosings are available in 3ft and 9ft lengths and can be cut down to size using a hacksaw, if necessary. Super simple to stick down, all you need to do is peel the self-adhesive backing off and push them down firmly. It’s as easy as that.

Think carefully about what colour would work best with the flooring already fitted on your stairs and select a shade from the dropdown menu.

After deciding on a colour, the next step is to accurately measure the length of your stair tread and choose a size. Edgings can be cut to size, so it’s always better to order a longer length than you need, as opposed to one that’s too short and won’t span the entire way across.

Once you’ve selected a size and colour, and you’re happy, click ‘add to basket’ and proceed to the checkout.

You’ll then need to choose a delivery method (either 24- or 48-hour delivery) and provide payment details. We accept both debit and credit cards, as well as PayPal.

All that’s left to do is wait for your stair nosings to arrive at your door in the next couple of days.
