What are the benefits of a Berber loop carpet?

There are many reasons why Berber loop carpets have been able to maintain their allure for so many years, including:

  • They’re very hard wearing

All Berber carpets have something called a loop pile.

The shorter the loops, the more durable the carpet, and as you might expect, most modern Berbers are made with short loops.

  • They’re naturally stain resistant

Thanks to low loop piles, any stains sit on the surface of the carpet rather than absorbing into its fibres.

This gives you more time to clean up any spillages before they leave unattractive stains.

The flecked design also helps hide any unfortunate messes.

  • They’re more affordable than other carpets

All of our Berber carpets here at British Flooring are made of polypropylene.

This material is inexpensive to manufacture, which means that carpets can be priced more cheaply than others.

Hear us out, though.

Just because the price tag is smaller, this doesn’t mean that any compromises to the quality of the carpet have been made.

Will I need a carpet underlay?

Generally, Berber loop carpets are slightly thinner and harder than other, more luxurious alternatives, so we’d highly recommend investing in a high-quality carpet underlay.

Carpet underlay shapes the look, feel, and performance of your carpet – and its importance shouldn’t be underestimated.

It’s often dismissed as an unnecessary expense but trust the experts when they say that it isn’t just an optional extra.

How much does a Berber loop carpet cost?

All of our Berber loop carpet options here at British Flooring start at just £46.74, but the cost will vary depending on the width and length you require.

Of course, the longer and wider you need your carpet to be, the more material will be used in its manufacture – resulting in you having to pay more.

When placing your order, you’ll have the option to choose between two different widths (4m and 5m) and a variety of lengths, ranging between 2-12 meters.

To place an order, simply select your desired width and length, add the product to your basket and head over to our secure checkout.
