5mm Sonic Gold underlay is great underlay for wood or laminate flooring. It comes with a damp proof gold foil membrane which gives a moisture barrier lock and also helps improve heat insulation by reflecting heat back in.
Royale 5mm gold underlay has a 25dB sound rating and increased thermal properties because of its gold foil and also enhance thickness and density of 5mm.
Also features a 200mm overlap to give your carpets a secure moisture membrane lock.
Barrier Pro X tape is recommended for this underlay in joining the seams of underlay to provide a Moisture Lock.

I found the Royale 6mm Supreme Gold better over all, slightly denser and better dB sound properties, but still a good underlay overall. Don’t forget the barrier tape too cause i forgot to order mine and the fitter charged me extra for using his own.
